Funding axed for clean-up of toxic land

Following some Christmas-time investigation, I broke the news of the true impact of Defra's (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) cuts to the funding of the treatment of toxic land.

Speaking to several councils, they told me that, without the money, contaminated land will be left untreated, causing serious environment and public health risks.
